What happened
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant and for an order to have the Tenant pay the rent they owe because the Tenant did not meet a condition specified in the order issued by the LTB on December 20, 2023. The Tenant filed a motion to set aside the order issued on February 27, 2024.
The ruling
The Landlord consented to the Tenant's motion to set aside the previous order. The tenancy will now end on May 31, 2024 on a non-voidable basis. The Tenant must vacate the unit by May 31, 2024 and pay the $18,586 in arrears by that date or face interest charges. If the unit is not vacated by June 1, 2024, the Landlord can file this order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
