What happened

The Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Landlords in good faith require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year. The Landlords also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date and for unpaid utility costs.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlords $393.95 for the unpaid utilities and $186.00 for the cost of filing the application, for a total of $597.95. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by April 24, 2023, they will start to owe interest at 6.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
