What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, and the Tenant did not void the notice by paying the arrears. The Tenant was still in possession of the rental unit on the hearing date.
The ruling
Unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $8,431.80 by April 30, 2024 or $9,475.25 by May 6, 2024, the tenancy will be terminated. If the Tenant does not void the order, they must pay $7,917.15 to the Landlord and compensation of $34.31 per day starting April 16, 2024 until they vacate the unit.
