What happened
The Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to significant rent arrears. The parties reached a consent agreement during the hearing, establishing a payment schedule to void the eviction, or alternatively, a termination date of March 15, 2026.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective March 15, 2026. However, the Tenants have the opportunity to void this order by paying $13,970.20 by January 31, 2026, $17,416.25 by February 28, 2026, or $20,862.30 by March 15, 2026. If the Tenants do not pay and do not move out by March 15, 2026, the Landlord may enforce the eviction through the Sheriff starting March 16, 2026. The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $12,223.50 plus daily compensation of $113.29 if they do not void the order.
