What happened

The Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant failed to attend the hearing despite being served. The Landlord provided evidence of rent arrears and recent partial payments that were insufficient to cover the total debt.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective September 7, 2025, unless the Tenant pays $1,389.42 by August 31, 2025 (or $2,389.42 by September 7, 2025) to void the order. If the Tenant does not void the order, they must vacate by September 7, 2025, and pay the Landlord $1,047.02 plus daily compensation of $32.88 from August 21, 2025, until they move out.
