What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant did not attend the hearing despite being properly served notice.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant pays $23,361 to void the order by January 21, 2024. If the Tenant does not pay, they must vacate the unit by January 21, 2024 and pay the Landlords $19,819.54 plus daily compensation of $84.66 from December 20, 2023 until the move-out date.
