What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed charges related to NSF cheques. The Tenant had difficulties paying rent due to medical conditions.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant pays the outstanding rent arrears of $9,173.82 by July 31, 2023, $11,104.20 by August 31, 2023, or $13,034.58 by September 30, 2023. If the Tenant does not pay the required amount, the Tenant must move out by September 30, 2023. The Tenant is also ordered to pay daily compensation of $63.46 starting July 14, 2023 until the date the Tenant moves out.
