What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out by April 6, 2024. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $2,674.52 in compensation for use of the unit from September 1, 2023 to February 13, 2024, plus $19.73 per day from February 14, 2024 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by April 6, 2024, they will owe interest at 7% annually on the outstanding balance.
