What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet the conditions specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenant did not pay the full rent arrears and the full monthly rent on time.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 19, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $6,301 in rent arrears and daily compensation of $30.05 per day starting May 1, 2023 until the Tenant vacates the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by May 19, 2023, the Tenant will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
