What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant 1 because Tenant 1 entered into an agreement to terminate her interest in the joint tenancy. Although Tenant 2 and Tenant 3 agreed to the severance and the Landlord consented, Tenant 1 failed to vacate the unit by the agreed-upon date of September 1, 2025.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and Tenant 1 is terminated effective November 3, 2025. Tenant 1 is ordered to vacate the unit by this date. If she fails to do so, the Landlord is authorized to file with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction starting November 4, 2025.
