What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent. The parties agreed to settle the application and requested an order on consent.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant continues if the Tenant pays the lawful rent on time from April 2025 to March 2026. If the Tenant fails to comply, the Landlord may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $186 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by May 18, 2025, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance.
