What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet the conditions specified in a previous LTB order, including not paying the full rent for May 2023 and not paying $700 towards arrears by the due date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 2, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $11,405.43, which includes the remaining rent arrears from the previous order and new arrears, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenant must also pay $43.77 per day in compensation for occupying the unit after June 21, 2023 until the Tenant moves out.
