What happened

The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant due to the tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order. The tenant did not pay the required rent arrears and current rent by the due date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 6, 2023. The tenant must pay the landlord $14,081.53 (less any payments made after the application was filed) plus $30.10 per day in compensation starting April 26, 2023 until the tenant moves out. If the tenant does not pay the full amount by May 6, 2023, the tenant will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
