What happened
The Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Tenants had accumulated significant arrears but informed the Board they had secured alternative housing and would be moving out in mid-October. The Landlord agreed to an extended eviction date to assist the Tenants' transition.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective October 31, 2025, unless the Tenants pay $4,586.00 by September 30, 2025, or $5,686.00 by October 31, 2025, to void the order. If the Tenants move out, they are ordered to pay $4,028.40 to the Landlord plus daily compensation of $36.16 from September 16, 2025, until they vacate. The eviction was postponed to October 31, 2025, to accommodate the Tenants' move to new housing.
