What happened

The Tenants requested a review of a previous order that terminated the tenancy for non-payment of rent. Tenant 1 claimed they were unable to attend the original hearing due to confusion and technical difficulties. However, the Member found Tenant 1's testimony to be inconsistent and uncorroborated by evidence, resulting in a denial of the review request.

The ruling

The Tenants' request for a review of the eviction order (LTB-L-049750-25) is denied. The original order for termination and eviction remains in effect. The stay of the eviction order is lifted effective December 31, 2025, providing the Tenants some time to vacate given their personal circumstances and income sources.
