What happened
The Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant for non-payment of rent. At the hearing, both parties attended and reached a consent agreement. The Tenant owed significant arrears but was given the opportunity to void the eviction by paying the full amount owing by specified dates. If the Tenant fails to pay, the tenancy will terminate, and the Tenant must vacate the unit by September 30, 2025.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective September 30, 2025, unless the Tenant voids the order by paying the full amount of arrears and filing fees. The Tenant may void the order by paying $5,396.00 by July 31, 2025, or larger amounts in subsequent months to account for ongoing rent. If the Tenant does not void the order, they must move out by the termination date and pay the Landlord $4,262.90 plus daily compensation of $18.18.
