What happened

The Landlord applied for the termination of the tenancy and eviction of the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant failed to attend the hearing and has been in substantial arrears since February 2025, with only partial payments received via Ontario Works.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 16, 2025. To void the eviction, the Tenant must pay $4,882.00 by August 16, 2025. If the Tenant does not void the order, they must vacate by that date and pay the Landlord $4,099.08 plus daily compensation of $24.92 until they move out.
