What happened

Landlords applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on October 31, 2022 and did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from October 27, 2021 to October 31, 2022.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlords $19,436.00, which includes rent arrears up to the move-out date and the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 7, 2023, they will start to owe interest at 5.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
