What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants for failure to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the LTB on December 8, 2022. The Tenants did not pay the full rent that became due on December 16, 2022.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective June 12, 2023. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $13,802.92 for rent arrears and the cost of the previous application, plus $41.92 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting June 2, 2023 until the Tenants move out. If the full amount is not paid by June 12, 2023, the Tenants will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
