What happened
The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to persistent non-payment of rent. Despite a portion of the rent being covered by an external organization, the Tenant failed to pay their individual portion since February 2025. The Tenant did not attend the hearing to contest the application.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective July 29, 2025. The Tenant is ordered to pay $488.63 to the Landlord if they do not void the order. To void the order and continue the tenancy, the Tenant must pay $3,008.38 by July 29, 2025. Daily compensation of $49.39 applies for each day the Tenant remains in the unit after July 10, 2025.
