What happened

The Tenant requested a review of an order dated April 5, 2024, which terminated the tenancy for non-payment of rent. Tenant 1 alleged she was unaware of the original hearing held in March 2024. However, evidence showed the Board mailed the notice while the tenants were still in the unit, and the tenants failed to exercise due diligence after being served an N4 notice.

The ruling

The request to review the order issued on April 5, 2024, is denied. The original order remains confirmed and unchanged. The interim stay of the order is lifted immediately.
