What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenant failed to pay the lawful monthly rent in full on or before February 5, 2023 and also failed to pay $179.21 towards the arrears on or before February 20, 2023.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective May 12, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $3,846.92 (less any payments made after the application was filed) and $45.70 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting May 2, 2023 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by May 12, 2023, the Tenant will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
