What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to undue damage to the rental unit caused by the Tenant, another occupant, or someone the Tenant permitted in the residential complex. The Landlord also claimed compensation for the damages.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $4,050.00 for the reasonable costs of repairing the damage and replacing the damaged property, as well as $186.00 for the cost of filing the application, for a total of $4,236.00. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by December 24, 2023, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 7.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
