What happened
The Landlords applied for eviction due to non-payment of rent. A previous order was issued in September 2025, which the Tenants requested to review. The Tenants claimed they did not attend the original hearing because they believed a payment plan had been finalized with the Landlords via email. The Adjudicator found the Tenants' belief reasonable, granted the review, and replaced the original order with a new order based on a payment plan agreed upon by both parties.
The ruling
The LTB cancelled the previous eviction order and replaced it with a payment plan order. The Tenants are ordered to pay $23,126.00 in monthly installments of $2,604.33 from September 2025 to May 2026, with a final payment in June 2026. If the Tenants miss any payment, the Landlord can apply for an ex parte eviction order.
