What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant has resided in the rental unit for seven years.

The ruling

The tenancy is granted relief from eviction with the condition that the Tenant pays the lawful rent in full and on time for each consecutive month commencing May 2023 and continuing through April 2024. If the Tenant fails to make the payments, the Landlord can apply to the Board for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant.
