What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the previous order issued on December 9, 2022. The Tenant failed to make the required arrears payment and December 2022 rent payment.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 4, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $13,478.63 plus $48.34 per day starting June 24, 2023 until the Tenant vacates the unit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by July 4, 2023, the Tenant will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
