What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlords have entered into an agreement of purchase and sale of the rental unit and the purchaser in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 13, 2023. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit by this date. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord compensation for use of the unit from February 1, 2023 to the date the Tenant vacates, less the rent deposit and interest owed.
