What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year by the Landlord's father.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective July 16, 2023. The Tenant must move out by that date. If the unit is not vacated by July 16, 2023, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $1,989.04 for use and occupation of the unit from February 1, 2023 to June 1, 2023, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $16.44 per day for use of the unit starting June 2, 2023 until the Tenant moves out.
