What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The parties attended a hearing and participated in Board facilitated mediation, where they agreed to resolve all matters raised in the application.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $3,561.00 for rent arrears and costs in 5 equal monthly payments of $712.20 starting on or before February 15, 2025. The Tenant shall also pay new rent on time and in full until the arrears are paid or June 1, 2025, whichever is earlier. If the Tenant fails to make any one of the payments, the outstanding balance shall become immediately due and the Landlord may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant.
