What happened
The Tenant filed multiple applications (T6, T2, T1) alleging that the Landlord failed to meet maintenance obligations, substantially interfered with reasonable enjoyment, withheld vital services, harassed the Tenant, and collected illegal charges. The Tenant argued he was entitled to more than 100% rent abatement due to alleged fraud and social policy violations by the Landlord. The Landlord countered that he had spent significantly on repairs, all official orders were closed, and the Tenant was obstructing access to the unit.
The ruling
All of the Tenant's applications (T1, T2, and T6) are dismissed. The Tenant failed to substantiate claims of maintenance neglect or harassment. The financial claims for rent reimbursement were denied as the Tenant occupied the unit, and the claim for an illegal key deposit was filed past the legal time limit.
