What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The parties agreed to resolve all the issues in the application and requested an order on consent confirming their agreement.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenants is terminated on August 31, 2024. The Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before August 31, 2024. If the unit is not vacated on or before August 31, 2024, the Landlord may file this order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) so that the eviction may be enforced. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $23,500.00 for arrears of rent up to August 31, 2024, in accordance with the agreed payment schedule.
