What happened

The Landlord applied for an order requiring the Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owed. The N4 Notice of Termination served by the Landlord was found to be defective, so the Board cannot issue an order for an eviction based on it. The Landlord requested to amend the application to seek arrears only, which was granted.

The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $15,236, which includes $15,050 in rent arrears and $186 in filing costs. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by June 25, 2023, they will start to owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
