What happened

The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant, and for an order to have the tenant pay compensation for damage they owe because the tenant did not meet a condition specified in the order issued by the LTB on April 6, 2023 with respect to application LTB-L-037947-22.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective June 24, 2023. The tenant must pay the landlord $2,016.40 for unpaid compensation for damage and application fees from the previous order, as well as $39.45 per day for compensation for use of the unit from June 14, 2023 until the tenant moves out. If the tenant does not pay the full amount by June 24, 2023, they will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
