What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The parties reached an agreement during the mediation session.
The ruling
The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated effective August 31, 2024. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit on or before August 31, 2024. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction. If the Tenant vacates by August 31, 2024, the Landlord will waive all arrears of rent and the application fee. If the Tenant does not vacate by August 31, 2024, the outstanding balance and any new arrears or charges shall become immediately due and payable to the Landlord, together with simple interest.
