What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Landlords in good faith require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year by the Landlords' child.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective September 30, 2023. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before September 30, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlords may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction. The Tenant owes the Landlords $1,199.32 as of June 15, 2023, which includes compensation for use of the unit from May 1, 2023 to June 15, 2023, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenant will also owe the Landlords $27.95 per day for use of the unit from June 16, 2023 until the Tenant moves out.
