What happened
The Tenants filed an application claiming the Landlords issued a notice of termination in bad faith. The original order found that the Landlords served an N12 notice for the use of the Landlord's parents, but after the Tenants vacated, the unit was relisted for rent instead. The Landlords requested a review of the decision, arguing that conflict in Ukraine affected their parents' travel plans and that the hearing member made a serious error in finding bad faith and awarding remedies.
The ruling
The request to review the original order dated August 22, 2025, is denied. The Board found no serious error in the hearing member's determination that the Landlords acted in bad faith by relisting the unit for rent after evicting the Tenants for personal use. The original order remains confirmed and unchanged.
