What happened

The Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to significant rent arrears. The Tenants failed to pay the lawful rent of $2,900.00 per month and did not attend the hearing despite being properly served. The arrears had accumulated to over $14,000.00 by the end of June 2025.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 8, 2025, unless the Tenants pay $15,086.00 by June 30, 2025, or $17,986.00 by July 8, 2025, to void the order. If they do not void the order, they must vacate by July 8, 2025, and pay the Landlords $13,902.12 plus daily compensation of $95.34 from June 19, 2025, until they vacate.
