What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenant failed to pay the lawful rent for March 1, 2023 in full and on time.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 31, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $19,483 in rent arrears and $44.02 per day in compensation for use of the unit from June 1, 2023 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by August 31, 2023, interest will accrue at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
