What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to interference with others, damage, or overcrowding. The Landlord also applied for an order requiring the Tenant to pay the Landlord's reasonable out-of-pocket costs to repair or replace undue damage to the property caused wilfully or negligently by the Tenant.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 31, 2022. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $352.50 for the reasonable costs of repairing the damage and replacing the damaged property, and $186.00 for the cost of filing the application, for a total of $538.50. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by July 10, 2023, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 6.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
