What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the previous order. The Tenant failed to pay the rent arrears and the current month's rent as required by the previous order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 14, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $7,405.13 (less any amounts paid after February 9, 2023) and $31.07 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting April 4, 2023 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by April 14, 2023, the Tenant will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
