What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to their failure to meet the conditions specified in a previous LTB order, including non-payment of rent arrears and April 2023 rent.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 26, 2023. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $15,422.61 (less any payments made after April 10, 2023) by May 26, 2023, which includes the remaining rent arrears and the cost of the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed to the Tenants. The Tenants must also pay the Landlord $70.26 per day for use of the unit from May 16, 2023 until they vacate.
