What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Tenants did not attend the hearing, although properly served with notice.

The ruling

Unless the Tenants void the order by paying $15,286 by July 13, 2024, the tenancy will be terminated. If the Tenants do not void the order, they must pay the Landlords $8,475.16 and vacate the unit by July 13, 2024. The Tenants will also owe daily compensation of $92.05 for each day of occupation after June 20, 2024.
