What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to pay water charges they were required to pay under the terms of the tenancy agreement. The Landlords also claimed compensation for the Tenant's failure to pay utility costs.
The ruling
The Landlords proved the Tenant failed to pay water charges they were responsible for under the lease. However, the Tribunal found it would not be unfair to grant relief from eviction, subject to the Tenant making payments towards the outstanding water charges and application fee.
