What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective April 30, 2024. The Tenant must vacate the unit by this date. If the unit is not vacated, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement starting May 1, 2024. The Tenant must pay the Landlord compensation of $82.19 per day starting January 9, 2024 until the Tenant moves out, and the cost of filing the application.
