What happened

The Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants for non-payment of rent and charges related to NSF cheques. The Tenants did not attend the hearing despite proper notice, although they had made partial payments toward the arrears after the application was filed. The ruling

This amount accounts for rent arrears up to the hearing date, filing fees, and NSF charges, offset by the last month's rent deposit and interest. Daily compensation of $36.61 applies from April 16, 2025, until move-out.
