What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed charges for NSF cheques.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant pays $12,500.33 to void the order by May 16, 2023. If the Tenant does not void the order, they must pay $8,471.10 to the Landlord and vacate the unit by May 16, 2023. The Tenant will also owe daily compensation of $59.64 starting April 25, 2023 until they move out.
