What happened
Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on September 30, 2022 and did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from August 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $1,603.36, which includes rent arrears up to September 30, 2022 and the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by April 16, 2023, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 6.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
