What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to pay rent arrears and the current month's rent as required by a previous LTB order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective May 27, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $15,258.21, which includes the remaining rent arrears from the previous order, new arrears, and the Landlord's filing fee, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $72.20 per day for each day of occupation starting May 17, 2023 until the Tenant vacates the unit.
