What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to meet the conditions specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenant did not pay the full rent for February 2023 and did not pay $200 towards the arrears by the due date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 14, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $4,509.45 less any payments made on or after February 2, 2023, as well as $45.49 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting April 4, 2023 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by April 14, 2023, the Tenant will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
