What happened

The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenant due to the tenant's failure to meet a condition in a mediated settlement agreement. The tenant was required to pay $200 towards rent arrears by May 15, 2023, but failed to do so.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 2, 2023. The tenant must vacate the unit by that date. If the unit is not vacated, the landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction starting July 3, 2023. The landlord is owed $624 from the previous mediated settlement, plus $240.03 in new arrears, less the rent deposit and interest, for a total of $331.24 owed to the tenant.
